Fredrick Da'Shun Ware was presented as a gift from God to his parents Gregory Smith, Sr. and Monica Ware on August 31, 1984 in Monroe, Louisiana.  Fred was affectionately called Tedder by his family and close friends; however his Dad always referred to him by a special loving nickname "Cru".

Fred attended Charles A. Gill Elementary School and Bryan Adams High School in Dallas.  Fred developed a deep love for animals as a youngster.  This led to his dream job as a Veterinary Assistant at Bowman Animal Clinic; upon his departure from there he later worked at Man's Best Friend.
