Obituary

Freddie "Puddin" McClellan passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 16, 2023. He was born October 9, 1937 in Lisbon, Louisiana to the parents of Marvin and Rosie B. McClellan. Freddie was the youngest of five boys.

Freddie moved to Dallas, Texas in 1958 and married his first wife, Dorothy J. Mayfield. He later met and married his second wife and best friend, Claudette McClellan.

Freddie began his journey working for Dresser Industires/Haliburton where he was a faithful and dedicated employee for 45 years until he retired in 2003.

Freddie accepted Christ and became a member of West Mt. Horeb Baptist Church where he and his family attended services. He was a loving husband, a protector and a wonderful father to his beloved children. Freddie was a man who never met a stranger. He always had a smile on his face and kind words for anyone he met. He could build anything he put his mind to but driving his tractor and working in the yard was what he loved to do most. He helped many people and if anyone needed  anything he was always willing to give a helping hand. If he knew you were hungry he would make sure you ate. Freddie had an amazing heart.

Freddie was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Isaac McClellan.

Freddie is survived by his beloved wife, Claudette McClellan; children, Theresa G. McClellan, Michael A. McClellan, Antoe C. McClellan, Cassandra L. McClellan, LaShell McClellan, Mark McClellan and Priscilla K. Edwards; brothers, CT McClellan, Luly McClellan and Jessie McClellan; sister-in-law, Wanda McClellan; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
