Freddie Jean Ross was born, Thursday March 16, 1939 to Fredell and Zelma (Johnson) Ross who preceded her in death.
Freddie was an active student within the Dallas Independent School District and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1956 (Class of 56). While attending Lincoln High School, Freddie was an honor student and a majorette for the Tiger band.
After graduating, Freddie worked various jobs around the City of Dallas eventually retiring from Southwestern Bell as a clerk and Chief Stewart for the Communication Workers of America (CWA). Freddie was an avid member within her community becoming the Chairman of the Board for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center of Dallas (1978-80). Effectively serving as a campaign manager, poll worker and volunteer during political times and ending her services working for a county judge in the city of Dallas.
Ms. Freddie J. (Ross) Brown was the loving mother of six children: Sammie Lee Brown Jr., Adrienne Diane (Brown) Wesson, Wynton Michele' Brown, Kevin Ross Brown I (deceased), Sabrina Christine (Brown) Randle and Daron Edward Brown. She is survived by one brother Charles Douglas Ross and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close and dear friends.
