He received Christ at an early age, and was a member of the Saintsville Sanctuary Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop J.N. Haynes.

Flemmie Jay Finley Jr. departed this life on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.

Flemmie was preceded in death by father, Flemmie Jay Finley Sr.; sister, Terry Yvette Finley and stepfather, Timothy Ray Haynes.

He leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, Flemmie Jay Finley, III, Christopher Wayne Haynes Finley; daughter, Gabrielle V. Finley all of Dallas, Texas ; mother, Clorene Haynes of Dallas; brother, Christopher Wayne Finley (Winnette) of Garland, Texas; sister, Robin Renee Finley of Dallas; uncle, Jimmy Broadnax (Vivian of Garland, Texas; uncle, Bishop J.N. Haynes (Vivian Haynes) of Desoto,TX; uncle, Abner Haynes of Dallas; aunt, Maxine Haynes Kyle of Dallas. He also leaves hosts of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and a number of relatives and friends.

The homegoing celebration will commence on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 11:00AM at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home.
