Evelyn Fay Sanford was born April 10, 1930 in Emhouse, Texas to the parents of Robert L. and Ola Mae Sanford. In May of 1948 Evelyn graduated from Jackson High School in Corsicana, Texas and married Donel E. Bufford. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior early in life. After marrying Donel, they moved to Dallas where five children were born to this union.

Evelyn served the Lord with commitment and a heart to serve. She always put the Lord Jesus Christ first with dedication and devotion. A true prayer warrior for Christ and a witness of His grace and mercy.

Evelyn spent her work career in service to others as a nurse's aide and as a patient health care provider until retirement.

Evelyn was preceded in death by: Donel Bufford (husband), Robert and Ola Mae Sanford (parents), Amelia Warren (sister), Rita Bufford Watkins (daughter), Donald Bufford Sr. (son) and Anita Kay Rylander (granddaughter).

Evelyn leaves to cherish her memories her children Linda Bufford Harris (Bennie), Kenneth Bufford and Sonia Bufford. Grandchildren: Stacie Rylander King (Will), Lisa Rylander Page (Kevin), Ronald Bufford (Kim), Donald Bufford (Cristita), Lamont Bufford, Daron Bufford, Kenneth Bufford II, Kevin Willis Sr., 11 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.
