Eunice B. (E.B. Bam Bam) Miller a.k.a. Pie was born in Forreston, Texas to Mrs. Bernadine Miller and Willie Deveraux on July 19,1944. He was the oldest of 12 children. He accepted Christ at an early age at Cooper Baptist Church, Forreston, TX and became president of the youth choir. He attended Dunbar Jr. High in Forreston, TX then moved to Ennis, TX where he attended Ennis George Washington Carver High School. He left there and moved to Waxahachie, TX where he attended Turner High School. He was a 1962 graduate. Rev. Miller enlisted into the United States Navy that same year. Serving his Country at Naval Air Station, Barber Point, Hawaii in the Crash and Rescue division as a Third class Petty Officer E-4 from 1962-1964. He left there and went aboard the USS Princeton LPH-5 from 1964-1966 as an Air Craft Handler as a Third Class Petty Officer (E-4). Touring the Southern Pacific: Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, and The Philippine Island, including a tour in Vietnam. He spent his last 28 months at Naval Air Station Atsugi, Japan from 1966—1968 in the Crash and Rescue Division where he became the Boxing Champion and won the COMNAVFORJAPAN (All-Navy Japan) Heavyweight boxing title. Sent back home to San Francisco, CA, Treasure Island for discharge in July of 1968 Honorably. There he went to work for the United States Postal Service in that same year at the Los Angeles Main Post Office.
He met his beautiful wife Betty Lorraine Claiborne in 1970 and married in 1972. He is the father of 3 children: Jerome L. Weathers (deceased), Dr. Crystal Lorraine Miller-Garrett, and Jaron D. Miller. 5 beautiful grandchildren: Jerome D. Weathers, Christopher D. Miller, Cassidy M. Weathers, Timothy D. Ross, Leland L. Jackson. 6 beautiful great-grand children: Brooklyn, Jaron, Mia, Viviana, Liyah, Tazmir.
While in Los Angeles, he attended Los Angeles Trade Tech College where he received a A.A. Degree in Business. He then attended Cal State University, Dominguez Hills Carson, CA Majoring in Accounting. He transferred from Los Angeles, CA to Houston, TX in 1982, then relocated to Dallas, TX in 1985 until he retired from the Postal Service in 1992. He move to Waxahachie, TX in 1994. Rev. Miller was ordained as a deacon at New Birth Community Bible Church under the leadership of Pastor R.L. Jones. He left there and attended New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he was ordained a second time as Deacon under the leadership of Dr. Lee W. Turner. He was called to the ministry in October of 1999, in the same year he was licensed, he attended Andersonville Baptist Seminary and graduated with honors: Summa Cum Laude in December 2000. He was then assigned the title of Minister of Education where he went on to
serve in the same position at Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, DeSoto, TX under the leadership of Pastor Phineas A Turner Sr. where he was also ordained as a minister of the gospel. He left Metropolitan in January of 2023 and Founded and Pastored Philemon Missionary Baptist Church for eight years. He went on to Bible Way Baptist Church as Minister of Education under the leadership of Pastor Willie R. Smith until 2012. He then went on to join Greater Community First Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor LaCedric Williams and he served as teacher of the noon day Bible Study and one of the teachers of Sunday School until present.
Rev. Miller is survived by a host of family and friends and he just loved the Lord and the Word of the Lord.
