Eula Faye Thomas was born on June 11, 1938 in Dallas, TX. To the parents of Jenkin and Fannie Mae Thomas. She was educated at the Dallas ISD schools N.W. Harlee Elementary and Lincoln High School.
Eula Faye accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. She became a faithful, charter member of New El Bethel Baptist Church for over fifty years. Her devoted services and ministries in the church were vast: she was a devoted member of the Usher Board, Served as a Choir Member, Sunday School Teacher, Master Key Rooftop Overcomers Prison Ministries; As well as a mentor to several members of the Hillvale- Corinth Street AA Group.
On June 25, 1963 Eula Faye and Arthur J. Thomas were united in holy matrimony and from this union seven children were born. Eula Faye spent many years raising her children and grandchildren. She passionately worked in the food industry for many years because she was the best cook ever!! She retired from the Dallas ISD James Hogg Elementary after 14 years of service as a cook. She then served passionately at the Betty Lin Daycare as a cook and devotion leader for 5 years.
Eula Faye enjoyed traveling to visit her families and friends out of state. She was most passionate about praising the Lord and sharing the Word of God to those she knew and didn't know wherever she was! She mostly loved being with her family, her church family, her sisters Elzeria Smith, Mae Helen Wortham and Beulah Derrough! She was indeed a beautiful "virtuous," soul-winning woman of God!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fannie Mae Thomas and Jenkin Thomas; sister Lucinda Thomas; sister Elzeria Smith; grandson Jermaine Thomas.
Her memories are left to be cherished by her husband: Arthur J. Thomas; daughter Julia "Pam" Mestas; daughter Sheila Robinson; son Arthur J. Thomas Jr. (Sheila); daughter Gail Sanders (Duane); daughter Shadena Jones (Elvis); son Tony Thomas(Delia) son Damion Brown. 27 Grandkids; 31 Great-grandkids and 3 Great-great grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
