Eugene received Christ at an early age and continued to be a serving person throughout his life.

He graduated from high school with remarkable grades and continued his education at Prairie View A&M College where he completed two years of college and then enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served for three years. During his stint in the Army he attained the rank of Specialist 4 where he served for three years. During his stint in the Army he attained the rank of Specialist 4 (Spec 4). He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Campaign Stars; and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and Rifle Marksman Badge. During his tour in the Army, he served one year in Vietnam.

Eugene made Dallas, Texas his home. He got married to Narsis J. Nicholas in 1974 and continued to grow his family. While working a Gardner Denver he decided to join the Dallas Police Department. He retired from the Dallas Police Department as a Crime Scene Technician in 2006. He was very dedicated to his job and his family.

Eugene was preceded in death by his siblings, Samuel Branch, Johnnie Branch Jr. and W.T. Branch.

Left to mourn his memories: his loving wife of 38 years, Narsis Jean Branch; son, Wynell; daughters, Jaimme Branch-Henry (Garry) and Brandi; sister, Mary Hamilton; brothers, Robert (Dolly) and Andrew (Elaine) and granddaughters, Aaliyah, AaCiyiah, Neciayaa and Synai; grandsons, AaLeriean, AaLarieake and AaMii; godson, JaDarius along with a host of family and friends. Special thanks to James Shankle and Hubert West who were long, dedicated, good friends.

The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday, January 17, 2013 8-8:45PM.

The homegoing celebration will commence on Thursday, January 18, 2013 11:00AM at Strong Arms Church of God in Christ, 145 Pemberton Hill Rd., Dallas, Texas.
