Obituary

Louise Glaspie Murray was born on November 25, 1945, in Henderson, Texas, to the late Josephine Glaspie and Herman Glaspie. She graduated with honors from Henderson High School. After graduation, Louise began her career at Raytheon, where she dedicated 47 years of service before retiring in 2012.

Louise was united in marriage to David Murray, who faithfully stood by her side throughout her life. She was a devoted mother to Demetria Glaspie and a loving stepmother to Tara Murray and Corey Murray. She also cherished her grandchildren, Timetra Goodson, Corey Murray Jr., Brooklyn Murray, and Crystal Dean. Louise shared a special bond with Demetria's life partner, Justin Johnson, who was also a beloved part of her family.

Louise grew up in a close-knit family and shared an unbreakable bond with her siblings. She is survived by her sister, Emma Jean Moore, and her brother, Herman Glaspie. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Pansy Baker and Christine Weatherton.

Louise was a faithful member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church for over 20 years. Her personality was truly one of a kind—lovable, kindhearted, and always willing to help anyone in need. She had a deep love for her family, church, sports, and cooking. Holidays and family gatherings were especially dear to her, as she found joy in spending time with loved ones. Above all, Louise loved the Lord and lived her life with a strong devotion to God and her church.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who were blessed to know and love her.
