Estelle Elizabeth (Dean) Mays returned to her heavenly home July 26, 2017, after a brave and hard fought battle with cancer. She was surrounded with a plethora of family and friends who were there to support her in all of her times of need.
Dean was born October 30, 1943 in Dallas, TX to the loving union of Lynn and Lauren Mays. She attended high school at Booker T. Washington, were she would go on to become a print pressing assembly operator at Lehigh Printing where she worked for many years. She was also a wonderful Nanny for over 20 years for the Conine Family (Kent, Meg,Travis, Shelby and Mason).
Dean is survived by four children Rosalind, Alton, Lisa, and Karen Mays, Three grandchildren Tori, Chante Sr, and James Mays, several great-grandchildren, and four siblings Cecil Brown (Nancy), Charlotte Burkes, Loretta Leffall, and Linda Boyce. And she is preceded in death by her father (Lynn), brothers (Kermit Carroll and Thomas Mays) and grandson (Kelvin Mays), and a host of nieces and nephews
Dean was a God fearing, caring and very loving Mother. She worshiped at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church (Rev. Lloyd Hall presiding) serving on the usher board for over 20 years making sure that her entire family was very familiar with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
