Ernest H. Owens was born May 1, 1948, to the parentage of Lonnie H. Owens and Earnestine Suttice, he was raised in Dallas TX attended Dallas public where he graduated from JN Ervin school in the class of 1966. He acquired an AA and AAS degree from Lee College Baytown TX. He received Christ early in life, and start working for Christ in the ministry in 2003.

Ernest was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie H. Owens Sr., mother, Earnestine Suttice White, Both Grandparents, Effie Trusdell (Elmer), Grandfather Lonnie H. Owens Sr., Grandmother Minnie Taylor, Son, John Owens, sister, Eloise Drain, grandson, Johan Austin.

Ernest leaves to mourn his homecoming: (Wife) Sallie Ann Owens of Dallas TX, Sister Jewel Harris, Brother Reginald Turner. Son, Ronnie Moore (Lynette) of Desoto TX, Daughters, Pameler Austin of Lancaster TX, Yalonda Morris Cedar Hill TX. Son, Ernest H. Owens Jr. of Dallas TX, Erneshia Owens Strickland of Plano TX, Step-son, Marcus Wilson of Dallas TX. Ernest leaves a total of 31 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren, plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special Thanks to Niece Sandra Turner.
