Erica Y. Francis was born in Los Angeles, California to Yvonne and Clemmie C. Chatman. They moved to Dallas, Texas where she started her education and graduated from Lincoln High School.

As she started her journey in life, she accepted the calling to ministry. She had a relationship with the Lord, oh how she loved discussing the Word of God. No matter what she was doing, she always acknowledged who Jesus was in her life and how good He was in her life.  She would always say, "Sister, the Bible is right, and people are wrong for not believing the Word of God." She would also say, "I might not look life my old self, but I still know god is in my life."

She was preceded in death by her mother, Yvonne W. Chatman, father, Clemmie C. Chatman and son, La Bill R. Francis.

Those left to cherish her memory: daughters, Delishia Francis, Sherica (Ranard) Green; sister, Sabra (Jake) Taylor and a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
