Emma Lee Mosely was born on July 6, 1941 in Coolidge, Texas. She was the first of fourteen children born to William Taylor and Otheluia Calhoun. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Allen Chapel AME Church. She attended Coolidge Community High School in Coolidge, Texas.

She was united in holy matrimony o July 3, 1959 to Winston L. Mosely. They later moved to Dallas, Texas. To this union seven children were born. She started her career working in the school cafeteria. She later started helping her husband with his painting business. Years later she started her career in domestic work. She did this until she retired. She was loved by everyone she met.

Emma gained her wings on September 1, 2024 at surrounded by her loving children.

Her parents, William T. and Otheluia Calhoun; brothers, Thelbert R. Calhoun and William Steve Calhoun; husband, Winston L. Mosely; son, Winston L. Mosely, Jr.; daughter, Linda K. Mosely  and grandson, Cedric  Dewayne Mosely all preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish here memories are her beloved children, Bernadette A. Mosely, Brenda F. Mosely, Calvin E. Mosely, Mitchell C. Mosely and Emily E. Mosely; seven sisters, Lorine Stewart (Charles), Ruth Ann Moore, James Calhoun (Florence), Othelia Smith (Nelson), Ester McCoy, Willie Calhoun (Patricia), Rhonny Calhoun, Johnny  Calhoun, Jackie Cox (Stephen), Marva Matthews and Valerie Calhoun; two god-children, Reginald Robinson and Demetris Taylor; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
