Saturday July 14, 2012, Lady Elsie finished her 81 year journey on this earth. She went home to be with her Heavenly Father.

Lady Elsie Proby-Ivey was born in Church Hill, Mississippi on April 13, 1931 to Lucinda Anderson and James Proby.

Lady Elsie gave her life to Christ at an early age and began her journey serving and worshipping the Lord. She was a loyal and faithful servant at Bethel B.C. under the leadership of Pastor C. L. Franklin.

She later moved to Grand Prairie, Texas and joined the St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Denny Davis where the continued to be a loyal and faithful member. Her steps were ordered by God and was a faithful servant who truly fulfilled her mission.

She leaves to cherish her memory Six Children: Mary Ransaw(Al), Mary Alice Wright (Allen), Marshall Proby, Stella Miley (Larry), Kevin Ivey and Ron Ivey (Rashida). Fourteen Grand Children: Marcus Person, Brandon Wright, Christina Bowers
(Rodney), Kandana'e Miley, Blake Ivey, Amaya Ivey, Khalil Harris, Ronisha Bure, Tameka Morris (Georgia), Roxanne Anderson, Brandy Williams, Eleven Great Grand Children: Treyvon Kelly, Chyna Brown, Jahzmin Gibbs, Joshua McGill, Trinity Bowers, Nyla Bowers, and Isabel Wright, DaJon Young, Roddrice Ransaw, Torrie Person, and Devon Morrison.

Interment to immediately follow at Grand Prarie Memorial Gardens with a horse drawn carriage procession.
