Elraye was born July 7,1957 in Dallas, Texas. He was the Fourth born child and the first son to Roscoe and Alverine Kirven Taylor, Elraye received his education in the Dallas Independent School District. In his earlier years he worked for International Harvester and Abco Maintenance and later became an Independent Mechanic taught by his father,and served so many. Elraye often visited and worshiped at Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church ministered by Reverend Nyal Bell.
Elraye was preceded in death by both parents Roscoe Sr. and Alverine Kirven Taylor. His wife Jacqueline Taylor, and son Elray Taylor.
Elraye departed this life on Friday August 18, 2023, He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Ranika Taylor, son Christopher Taylor, brothers Roscoe Taylor Jr., Eric Taylor ( Marilee Taylor), three sisters Dolores Williams, Doretha Henry and Carolyn Bowens, grandson LeMondra Seaton, granddaughters Jade Bailey and Ka'Mahriya Douglas, Nieces Kimmala Thornton, Shuntea Bowens, Jada Lobrandon ( Cornell Lobrandon), Omeshia Thornton, Ashley Williams, Deborah Dubique, Shalonda Taylor and Melinda Polk, Nephews Eric Taylor Jr. David Henry, Derrick Taylor, Ray Taylor, Allen Taylor, Robert Taylor, Elliott Taylor, Derwin Taylor. A host of great nieces, great nephews, great- great nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
