At age 5, her family relocated to Wills Point, TX. Throughout her childhood, she continued to receive her education in Wills Point, TX. She graduated from Cartwright High School in 1960. After graduating from high school, she went on to attend Butler College. After attending college, she was employed as a Nurse Assistant for many years at Methodist Central Hospital in Dallas, TX.

Elnora accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was baptized at St. Mary C.O.G.I.C. in Wills Point, TX. under the leadership of the late Elder J. I. Bonner. After moving to Dallas, she joined Greater Harvest C.O.G.I.C. in 1966 under the leadership of the late Bishop Frank W. Smith. She continued her lifetime membership at Greater Harvest C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Bishop Corby Bush Sr. She worked faithfully, serving in many church ministries and departments for over 50 years. She was aloyal and dedicatedservant as a teacher for Sunday School and the Young People Willing Workers Department. She also served in several leadership capacities; Choir President for the Greater Harvest Sanctuary Choir for over 26 years, President of the Bible Band, and Prayer Band Leader for Morning and Noon Prayer.

As a devoted prayer warrior and a Licensed Missionary in the Church of God in Christ, she often worked alongside the graceful women of the Greater Harvest Missionary Department, as they witnessed and prayed for others. Among many of her talents, Missionary Franklin was an "anointed" singer who blessed the hearts and souls of many as she sang "Great Is Thou Faithfulness"and other hymnals, under the power of the Holy Ghost.

Her biblical lessons extended well beyond the church doors and into her home and community. As a mother, she reared her children in the love and admonition of Christ. She taught and trained her children to live their lives for God and to always pray. She will forever be remembered for her contagious smile, compassionate heart, and angelic voice. Her life's impact will forever touch the lives of others for many generations. She wholeheartedly lived her life as a faithful servant for the Lord until she transitioned.
