Mrs. Ellis Mae Tanner, known by family as "Boogie Man, was born on February 11, 1942 in Montalba, Texas to Samuel Baston and Janice (Lee) Baston.

Mrs. Ellis accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into her life at an early age attending Providence Baptist CME Church in Montalba, Texas. She attended high school at Providence School System in Montalba, Tx. She graduated in 1959.

After high school, Mrs. Ellis moved to Dallas, Texas with older siblings and attended nursing school to become a great nurse and caregiver. She also worked at Photomat and Fox Photo before continuing her career in Nursing.

She met and married Curtis Tanner Jr. in December 1968 on the 7 ^th day of the month. They had 5 children together, Tyrone, Curtis III and Timothy Tanner, Sandra Renae Melton and Victoria Patterson. She had some family members that preceded her in death.

She worked diligently up until the decline of her health in 2015. She leaves to cherish her memories: 3 sons, Tyrone (Sheniquia), Curtis III and Timothy (Tara) and 1 stepdaughter, Victoria Patterson (William) of California. As well as 2 sisters Sallie Melton (Ft. Worth, TX), Almedia Stephney (Dallas, TX), 2 brothers, Isaac Baston (Ft. Worth, TX) and Jonathan Baston (Dallas, TX).

She will be missed and loved by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
