Remembering Edward Earl
Edward Montgomery, known as "Coochie Man" by his family, was born January 25, 1954 to the late parents of Leola and Shaw Montgomery. He was the third of eight siblings (who three preceded him in death; Jerry Dean Montgomery, Frank Montgomery and Jesse James Montgomery).
Edward attended Crowville High School, where he ran track. Later, he moved to Dallas, Texas in 1974, where he dedicated over 25 years of service to Alford Warehouse. He was valued and appreciated by all who knew him. He received several awards for his hard work and dedication.
Edward was known to many as "BLUE", always sociable, smiling and giving. He will always be remembered for his protectiveness and outspokenness. His way was the right way. (Smile) He was the life of the party. He enjoyed gatherings, hanging out under the bridge, in the yard, and relaxation time. Everyone was always in line to get a plate of his famous mouthwatering "Ribs".
At an early age, Edward accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Philadelphia Baptist Church. He was raised in the church by a praying mother.
Edward entered into eternal life on Monday, February 6, 2023, at home while he rested. He was proceeded in death by his mother and father, his brothers and sister, adopted son Bobby and his granddaughter Rachel.
Edward leaves to cherish his wonderful memories, his two amazing daughters Dr. Denise Montgomery and Kena Mc Donald (Larry Jackson), son Eric Montgomery, two wonderful sisters Gloria Jean and Sue Ann, two brothers, Glenn Montgomery (Marshell Montgomery) and Henry Lee Montgomery. 13 grand grandchildren- De Asia, De Aria, Christopher, Amare, Brendetta, Bredan, Angel, Erick, Alliyah, De Shalya, Lil Eric (EZ), Emmory and Emarion, Breanna and Steven, 20 great grandchildren, extended family Char, Kla, Khryi, special friend Marie Jo, as well as a host of close relatives and friends.
