Obituary

Edna was born to the late Hubert and Minnie Henderson on February 4, 1945, in Dallas, TX. She was the second of five children. Her parents and four siblings, Ruthie Hayes, Mary Kelly, Donald Henderson, and Alfred Henderson preceded her in death.

Edna attended school in the Dallas Independent School District. It was there that she met her best and lifelong friend, Bennie Williams. As an adult, Edna worked as a licensed cosmetologist for many years and later graduated from Southern Bible Institute. In 1969, she married the love of her life, Will Singleton. This union produced almost 52 years of marriage and three children. Her life was dedicated to her family and her church. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of the Roe's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life, she and Will joined the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church where she was a Deaconess and faithfully served until her death.

Edna is survived by her handsome husband, Will Singleton; three children, Pamela Wilson (Dwain), Rodney Singleton (Kimberly), Keshia Singleton; seven grandchildren, Chadrick Mosley (Joella), Amber Wilson, Devin Gardner, Braedon Singleton, Jadon Singleton, Isaac Singleton, and Charity Haynes; four great-grandchildren, Ariana Mosley, Adrian Mosley, Ahmyra Kimble, and Savi Maubury; one brother, Michael Henderson (Phyllis) and the Haynes family who she considered an extended part of her family. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and church members to cherish her memory.
