Deacon Eddie Lee Wigfall Jr., a cherished and respected member of his community, passed away on April 27, 2026, at the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Born on March 30, 1930, in Italy, Texas, he lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and service.
Deacon Wigfall was a very nice, kind, and welcoming man who had the remarkable ability to put others at ease. His warmth and gentleness touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. Throughout his life, he devoted himself to his family, his faith, and his country.
A proud veteran, Eddie Lee served honorably in the United States Army. His commitment to service extended beyond his military duties into his spiritual life. He was deeply involved in his church community, Mount Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as Deacon. His love for his church was evident to all, and he found great purpose and joy in his role there.
Beyond his service and faith, Eddie Lee had a passion for photography. This interest allowed him to capture moments and memories, reflecting his thoughtful and observant nature.
Family was the cornerstone of Deacon Wigfall's life. He took immense pride in his family and grandchildren, who were his greatest accomplishments. He is survived by his son, Leonard Wigfall, along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends who will carry his memory forward. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bobbie Ann Wigfall.
Services to honor the life and legacy of Deacon Eddie Lee Wigfall Jr. will begin with a viewing on May 8, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. A Celebration of Life will follow on May 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church in Waxahachie, Texas. His final resting place will be at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, with burial services commencing at 11:00 a.m. on May 11, 2026.
Deacon Eddie Lee Wigfall Jr.’s legacy is one of unwavering kindness, devoted service, and deep love for his family and faith. He will be remembered with great respect and affection by all whose lives he touched. May his soul find eternal peace.
