Eddie B Blakemore's Obituary
Eddie B. Blakemore was born to the parentage of Claude & Laquilla Blakemore on May 30, 1934 in Palestine, Texas. He received his education at Clemmons High School in Palestine Texas. Eddie joined Evans Spring Baptist Church at an early age. After school Eddie moved to Washington D.C. then later to New Jersey where he met and married Geraldine Blakemore in 1955 and to this union two daughters were born. In 1969 he moved to Dallas and worked for Barnes Lumber Company where he retired after 26 years of service. Eddie later returned to work as a security officer for J.C. Penny's until he retired in 2012. In 1986 he joined Parry Ave B.C. and served as trustee under the leadership of H.B. Bailey.
Eddie is survived by two daughters, Ramona Hurt and Ravoyda Joy both of Delaware. One son, Edward Blakemore of Los Angeles, CA. Two grandsons, Michael Joy and Marc Joy both of Delaware, two sisters Mabel Blakemore, Bobbye Deloach both of Dallas, TX. One brother, Limmie Blakemore (Christine) of Fairfield CA. And a host of nieces, great nieces (special) numerous nephews, great nephews, cousins and friends.
