Dr. Earlene Brown Martin was born august 13, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to her parents Otis Brown and Essie Brown. She was a proud graduate of the Class of 1965 at the "Great" James Madison High School. After graduation, she attended Eastfield College and received her Associate's Degree. In her quest for even more knowledge, she attended and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree from Dallas Baptist University. Dr. Martin also received an Honorary Doctorate of Ministry Degree from Christian University of Southern Indiana.

On September 1, 1984 she married the love of her life, Dr. Charles C. Martin, Sr. They were the proud parents of four amazing children. Dr. Earlene Martin shared the blessing of serving along side of her husband as the Co-Pastor of Union Baptist Church in Dallas, Tx. She was a true woman of God and it was evident through her love for others, strength demonstrated, and her faith in God. She had a passion for serving, praising, praying and preaching the word of God.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted husband, Dr. Charles C. Martin, Sr.; her beloved children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, extended family, friends, and the Union Church Family.
