Dorothy Faye Adams Franklin was born April 28, 1940, to the parents of Ned Walker and Emma Stuart in Ozan, Arkansas. Both mother and father proceeded her in death. Dorothy entered her eternal resting place on November 23, 2024, at her residence surrounded by family.
Doris, as she is so affectionally known by many who knew her, commenced her education journey at the Clow Learning Center in Clow, Arkansas. She graduated from Washington Elementary School in 1954. Upon relocating to Dallas I.S.D., Doris was employed by the Davidoff's for many years as a domestic housekeeper, before later becoming the proprietor of her own childcare facility. Doris also embarked on her Christian Journey at St. Mark C.M.E. Upon Moving to Texas. She united with Riverside MBC under the leadership of Rev. Tutson and now Rev. R. Whitehead. She served faithfully until her health began to decline.
Doris met Azell Adams and together they had one child, George Edward Adams. Later she married Bobbie Jack Franklin, both husband and son passed away before her. She was a woman of great integrity and kindness, always willing to assist her family in any way possible. Her home was the central gathering place for the family, where numerous celebrations and events took place.
Doris leaves to cherish her memories, a stepsister Faye (George) Staggers, grand-daughters, Demanda (husband) Barnes, Bre'Aunna Glover, and Theresa (Billy) Jones. one Godson Patrick Walker. Six God granddaughters, Lakeshia, Mieashia, Taneshia, Tahaira, Tekiea and My'Asia (sugar momma)
Two special cousins, Claire Nelson and Chester Walker. Special friends: Mr. &Mrs. James Johnson, Kathy Sanchez, Dorothy Houston and Robert Houston. and three cousins-nephews that she loved dearly that proceeded her in death, Charles Grant, Roy (Peewee) Stuart and Levester (Balley) Munn. And host of family and friends.
