Dorothy Lee Jones-Ford was born October 6, 1938 in Farmersville, Louisiana. She was born to the parents of Rosie Lee Jones and George W. Jones (both deceased). She had 3 brothers that preceded her in death: Roosevelt Wiggins (Jr.), Robert L. Jones and Steve Jones.

Dorothy Lee Jones-Ford departed this life on Thursday, January 27, 2022. She accepted Christ in her life in 1979 over 40+ years. Faithfully attended God's Greater Holy Temple Full Gospel Church, under the leadership of Bishop B.D. Jackson and Dr. H.R. Jackson. Working out her soul salvation under different positions: Minister, Usher Board (President), Sunday School Teacher (Superintendent for a time), Choir member, Head of the Food Service department, Pastor's Aide, Mission Department for 2 year under the leadership of Dr. H.R. Jackson (Pastor) stood in to help run the church, and anywhere else she could be of help to the ministry.

Dorothy Lee-Jones married Roosevelt Ford (Deceased) on June 7, 1955. From this union 3 daughters were born: Gail Ford, Sandra Ford-Claiborne, and Lori Ford-Cole all of Dallas, Texas.

She also leaves to cherish her memories: her brother Jerry Jones of Dallas, TX, 5 grandchildren: Ronny L. Claiborne Ford, Ashley A. Claiborne-Flakes (LaKeith Flakes), Chi-Cory, Shakayla Scott, and Shanita Scott; 6 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
