Her Life and Legacy

Doris Dillard was born on February 13, 1947, in Los Angeles, California, to Alvoid Johnson Sr. and Velma Rudd Walton. She was baptized at an early age and raised with strong family values. Doris began her education in the Los Angeles public school system. At the age of 15, she moved to Texas to live with her grandparents and complete her schooling. She later pursued higher education and proudly graduated from community college.

In 1962, Doris met the love of her life, Freddie Dillard Sr., and they were united in marriage on May 12 of that year. Their loving union was blessed with three children: Freddie G. Dillard Jr., Pamela B. Dillard-Walker,and Alberta Vernora Dillard.

Doris dedicated over 25 years of her professional life to Allstate Claims, where she was known for her diligence and commitment. She retired in 2008, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and integrity. She was preceded in death by her dad, Alvoid Johnson Sr.; her beloved husband, Freddie Sr.; her cherished son, Freddie Jr. (Baba); and her grandson, Freddie III, Henry Johnson.

Doris leaves to celebrate her memory: her loving mother, Velma; her devoted daughter, Pamela; her grandchildren, Marquis and Cameron; her greatgrandkids, Jordyn and Alanah; her brothers, Alvoid Jr., Nathaniel (Audrey), and John; her special sister, Alberta; and her special nephew, Jacob. She is also lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friend.

Doris's life was a testament to love, faith, and resilience. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
