Donna Demitrice Black was born in Dallas, TX on July 3, 1963. She peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday,
June 18, 2024, in her mother Viola Black's home, surrounded by loved ones.
Donna was a faithful member of Full Gospel Holy Temple, which she joined in her adolescent years and continued
throughout adulthood. In May 2023, she joined and became a member of the Freedom Missionary Baptist Church.
She received her education in Dallas ISD and graduated from DW Carter High School in 1981. She spent 25 years as a
Patient Care Technician at Parkland. Later, she obtained certifications in billing and coding and as a Medical Assistant.
Her final role was as a Patient Care Technician at Belmont Assistive Living, where she dedicated many years of service.
She has been a blessing to many, and leaves to cherish in loving memory: Mother, Viola Black; Father, Johnny Black
(Leola); Son, Nicholas Black (PaTina); Daughter, ShaRhonda Chatmon; Granddaughters, Daniya Donley, Tametria
and Zendaya Smith; Sisters, Sherry Black; Deon Sanders; Brothers, Daryl Black and Johnny Black III(Cynthia); and
many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her daughter Nikita Black, maternal and paternal grandparents.
She was a devoted member who always prioritized God in her life. Being loving, caring, and kind-hearted, she radiated
warmth and light to everyone around her.
