Donald E. Williams, retired Dallas Police Department Senior Corporal and current Dallas Sheriff Office bailiff, peacefully entered Heaven's gates at age 66, on Thursday, October 05, 2017, with his family, caregiver Wenda Thomas and Vitas Critical care team surrounding him.
He was born on January 3, 1951 in Mound Bayou, MS.
Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents--Booker Scott and Doris Smith—and his siblings--Oscar King, Gracine McQueen and Vinaris Scott. Beloved father of Ashley Mackie, Christopher Mackie, Kristofer Broussard, Christopher Thompson, Elechi Ugo, Cory Thompson and Dormel Thompson. He was the dear brother of Anthony Williams, James Ingrams (Annie Ingrams), Will Scott, Gale Scott, and Jennifer Richard (Ben Richard). Proud grandpa of Nicholas, Zoe, Neema, Logan Thompson and five more grandchildren. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless supportive friends such as Larry Smith, Phyllis Nobles and Bradleen Broussard to name a few of many.
Mr. Williams was a faithful member of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church, Senior Pastor Tony Evans Th.D.
The wake will be held Thursday, October 12, 2017, from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home (6449 University Hills, Dallas, TX 25241). The homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11:00am at Eastgate Missionary Baptist Church (6960 South Polk St., Dallas, TX 75232).
