Dona C. Williams Lawrence, a retired Licensed Vocational Nurse, Loving Mother, and lifelong Dallas, Texas resident, gained her heavenly wings suddenly on December 1, 2020.
Dona was born April 13, 1956 to the parents of the late Charles T. and Clarice Williams in Dallas, Texas . She was the ninth child and baby girl of eleven siblings.
Dona was a 1974 graduate of Lincoln High School in the Dallas Independent School District. During her time at Lincoln High School, Dona was blessed with her only daughter, Angela Williams, After her graduation from Lincoln High School, Dona attended El Centro Community College in pursuit of her career in nursing. While attending El Centro Dona met and married Steven Lawrence. To this union, Dona and Steven had three boys: Julian, Jason and Steven.
While raising her family and attending El Centro, Dona earned her associates degree in nursing to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She use her passion for nursing as evidenced by her dedicated years of service to the elderly at numerous healthcare facilities in the Dallas Area for many years until she retired due to illness. She later married Larry Lewis of Dallas, Texas.
Dona was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was always full of advice, especially health advice and told really funny jokes. Anyone that knew Dona cherished her vivaciousness and zest for life. She was a proud member of Faith Kingdom Church of God in Christ in Dallas, Texas where she served for many years.
Dona was preceded in death by her parents Charles T. and Clarice Williams: son Jason Lawrence: brothers Arnold Williams, Larry Williams and Herbert Williams: sisters Mamie Edwards and Cynthia Salter: niece Tracee Williams: and Terrance Williams and Vincent Edwards.
Dona leaves to cherish her memory her children Angela Williams, Julian Lawrence, Steven Lawrence(Lenesha), grandchildren Jordan Williams, Micah Williams, Airel Lawrence, Athena Lawrence, Jailyn Lawrence, Jason Lawrence II, Jaycee Lawrence, Azarea Lawrence, Akyza Lawrence, Parker Lawrence, Christina Lawrence and two great grand-children Jaydence Williams and Jordynn Williams: brothers Charles T. Williams Jr., Lester Williams and Jordynn Williams: brothers Charles . Williams Jr, Lester Williams (Harnell), Nathaniel Williams: sister Doris Smith: brothers-in-Law Bernard Edwards and Tyrone Salter: sister-in-Law Anna Williams, Aunt Ruby Beachum Carney and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
