The Life, Love and Legacy of a Legend
Dollie M. Wilson was born February 13, 1942 in Marshall, Texas to the parents of Hurbert and Charlene Bailey.
She departed this life to be with the Lord on September 2, 2022. Dollie graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962. After 26 years, she retired from Boeing Aerospace in Irving, Texas. After a short romance, she met and married Frank Wilson and together they created a blended family and honored each other with forty-two years of marriage.
For twenty plus years, she was a member of Bon Air Baptist Church. Afterwards she moved her membership to Community Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Oscar D. Epps, Sr. She served faithfully on Seasonal Saints Group.
Dollie is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Curtis Bailey; sister, Rosie Huckaby; one granddaughter, and three great-great grandchildren.
She is survived by one sister, LuAnn Pryor and special nephew, Larry Bailey. Dollie leaves behind one daughter, LaTrice (Peaches) Tubbs-Freeny (Dovis); adopted daughter from California, Kassie Byrd; stepchildren, Betty and Steven Wilson of Plano, TX. She leaves to cherish her memories, fifteen great grandchildren, twenty-three great-great grandchildren, along with many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends, a special friend, Curtis Smith.
