Greetings'

To my family and friends, welcome to this blessed and highly favored celebration, celebrating the legacy of my life here on earth.

First, let me say "THANK YOU" for all of your prayers, visits, and concerns. On Friday, September 22, 2017; at 9:29 PM; God whispered my name and I heard his voice above all of your prayers, encouraging words and cheers for me to fight on. Some said oh he's tired, let him go, other's said; no he's coming back, his heart rate is strong. But no, I wasn't tired, I wasn't weary, nor was I in pain. You see it was just my time to go, my work was done, my mansion was ready and my crown and robe were waiting for me.

I don't apologize for leaving you so soon, for we all must depart someday, so I charge each of you to be steadfast, un-moveable and always abounding in the word of the Lord! I know my departure was sudden and unexpected, but believe me I'm in a better place or as I would always say "I'm in a good place" and that's a good thing!

I've reunited with my mother (Maggie), my brother (Guy), my baby sister (Mary), my niece (Shatoria), my very-very special aunts and uncles (Mary, Lillie Bell, Ora Lee, Daniel, Joe and Mertella) and a host of other relatives and friends. We are all well, just celebrating with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

To my remaining earthly family: Johnny (Mary); Beverly (Byron); Cleo (Ronnie); Leotha and Lionel, if you have not given your life to Christ, I beg you to do so soon, because it's a beautiful thing – The Lord is waiting for you.

To all of my nieces and nephews, WOW! i am so proud of all of you. Please know that i love you dearly! I also leave so many cousins, friends and neighbors. I want to see all of you again as well – there is still room at the cross.

Before I close, I must acknowledge my Christian Family the Living Word Missionary Baptist Church: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! To my Pastor and First Lady –Rev. Evins and Betty Smith, two of God's greatest soldiers, you taught me well under your humble and faithful leadership – I love you! Living Word Family stay close, and remain faithful. Brother Cole, I will miss our talks and prayers; Sister Cathy take care of yourself and Sister Hamilton I heard you when you said : "Get up Dewayne, and get on your door" and that you didn't receive your Sunday morning hugs – I'm sending a great -big hug to you and the Living Word Family all the way from heaven.

In closing, family, friends and neighbors take care of my little one's (De'Shala, Myrikal, DJ and Yvonne) – pray with them and for them the daily, love them and hug them and teach them about the Lord.

To all, remember, I have fought my fight, I finished my race and now I'm home and happy, please don't grieve for me - just place your hand in God's hand and I will always be there with you.
