Obituary

  • Mrs. Deloise Ethel (Williams) Hall was born on November 19,1956 to Rev. Willie T. Williams Sr. and SIs. Bettye L. (Johnson) Williams in Los Angeles, California. She was the third oldest of 11 children. Later in life, her father moved the family to Dallas, Texas, where they resided in Oak Cliff / Singing Hills. The family attended Jordan Baptist Church (Lancaster, Texas). She was a proud 1974 alumni of David W. Carter High School. After high school, she put herself through court reporting and transcription school. Deloise made a career as a professional medical transcriptionist having worked for Swiss Avenue Clinic, Baylor Hospital, Doctor's Hospital, etc. Upon retiring, she served as a substitute teacher for Lancaster ISD. In June of 1982, she gave birth to her daughter, Tramaine. In January of 1983, she met Rev. Gregory J. Hall and they were married by Pastor R.M. Robertson of Jordan Baptist Church (then located in Dallas, Texas). Greg and Deloise would go on to build a lifetime of memories together. Within her lifetime, she obtained an Associate degree of Science in Communications from Mountain View College (Dallas, Texas). She also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Christian Counseling from School of the Scripture (Dallas, Texas), as well as a Bachelor's degree of Arts and Sciences degree in Christian Counseling and Family Studies from Dallas Baptist University (Grand Prairie, Texas). Other notable certifications and accomplishments were that she received a Diploma of Basic Courses in Spiritual and Intellectual Attainments from Southern Bible Institute (Dallas, Texas) as well as a Basic Training Certification in Church Planting. Prior to becoming ill, she was very active in church, having served as a first lady alongside her husband's pastoral ministry. She was also active in her community and supporting the endeavors of her family. Sis. Deloise Hall has left an unforgettable, lasting impression on so many people that she has encountered in her lifetime. If you are present today in celebration of her, understand that you were a part of her or attached to her family in some way, shape, form, or fashion. Although she has transitioned on, she leaves to remember her memories a loving husband, a devoted daughter and son-in-law, three sisters, and four brothers, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted daughters and sons, church members, extended family and friends and others, and a first grandchild on the way. She will be missed but never, ever forgotten.
