Obituary

Delita Marquelle Woodard-Alvarez was born on October 10, 1969, in Dallas, TX, the second child born to the parentage of Elder Kenneth Woodard and Pastor Beverly Woodard. (Her mother, grandmother, uncle, and one sister, Sonta Woodard, preceded her in death.)


She was united in holy matrimony to Juan Andres Alvarez. To this union, no children were born.


Delita attended public schools in Dallas, TX and graduated from El Centro Community College.Delita worked over 30 years in the banking industry with PNC, Chase, and Bank of America until her death.Mrs. Woodard-Alvarez was well loved by all and was blessed with a gift of love. A love that enabled her to brighten the lives of many people she encountered. She was blessed with the gift of beauty and her beauty was not only physical, but also inner that shined from within her.


Delita leaves to mourn: a loving husband, Juan Alvarez; her father, Elder Kenneth Woodard (Marilyn); two daughters, Dominecia Woodard and Jasmine Hunter; one stepdaughter, Andrea Alvarez Mason; five grandchildren, Keyaushia, Keyvunsia, Quintavian, Zy'Meria, and Zariah;
one brother, Jason Langford (Deborah); three sisters, Sherry Penson, Kimberly Stevenson (Deon), and Karen Sims (Cedric); two nephews, Kendel West and Coby Sims; two nieces, Candace Tubbs and Charli Sims; aunts, Wanda Duncan, Cynthia Bryant, and Linda Kay Harris
(Chris); uncle, Derek Woodard; two very special friends, Keyla Aycock and Carla Bryant; one goddaughter, Tatyana Matale; and a host of cousins, friends, and sister-in-laws
