De'Asia
Shelton
February 12, 1995 – January 29, 2022
De'Asia Shelton was born on February 12, 1995 after her twin and wombmate Amera Shelton to the parents of LaKiest Lindsay and Octavia Shelton. Missy or Teeney as she was affectionately known grew up in Oak Cliff and later relocated to Garland to finish her primary education. Raised in a faith-based family Asia started her journey with God at Temple Missionary Baptist Church under the late Reverend EL Burrell as a child and then transitioned to Lifeway Church of Dallas, Tx. As time continued Asia earned the little big sister title to younger brother Ta'John Tyhab Livingston. Asia lived in Garland, Tx with her mother, step father (Willie Gerald Wiley) and siblings until she completed her primary education at Naaman Forest High School. Upon high school graduation Asia attended college temporarily at Tyler Junior College, before embarking on a new journey that forever changed her life. On January 10, 2017 a new title of Mom was earned when she gave birth to Malachi Josiah Watkins beside partner Peyton Watkins. Embracing motherhood and compelled to leave a legacy she decided to peruse her dream of being a licensed esthetician by attending Ogle School of Hair, Skin, & Nails. While in school Asia studied and created handcrafted soaps and body scrubs that made way for Priss Skincare in 2020. While being an entrepreneur and business owner was a huge accomplishment and goal, her greatest love was Malachi. Asia was a light that sparkled in the darkest room, a joke in the most awkward situation and high squeaky voice amongst the monotone who will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in her death by her great- grandparents Gus Shelton SR., Clemmie T. Shelton, great uncles Gus Shelton Jr., Raymond Leon Shelton and favorite aunt Kim Shelton Johnson.
She leaves to hold steadfast to her memory; grandparents Freddie and Letisha Shelton, father (LaKiest Lindsay) mother Octavia Shelton, step-father Willie Gerald Wiley, twin sister Amera Shelton, brother Tajohn Livingston, uncle Marcus (Keisha) Mason, sister-cousin Altonisha Johnson and a host of other relatives, and friends.
