David Alvin Tate, son of the late Bishop Alvin & Euodias Tate was born May 6,1941 in Bronx, New York. Over the years David was able to see the world visiting over 30 countries including Egypt and Africa. Staying active was something David enjoyed and in his late 60s, he decided to scratch an item off of his bucket list - skydiving.

David maintained a close relationship with friends around the country through the AA program where he served as a sponsor and speaker at various meetings. After his declining health due to heart complications, David departed this life into the presence of the Lord January 6, 2018 at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas. David Tate was a proud veteran of the United States Army
