Brother David Lee Green was born July 18, 1942 in Gloster, La to the late Rachel Williams Thomas and Myles Green.

Bro. Green was affectionately known as Sambo to all. He confessed Christ and was Baptized at Bethlehem #1 B.C. at an early age.

Sambo met and married Hearse Bates in 1969, together they had four sons of which one proceed him in death. In 1975 the couple relocated to Houston,

Texas, where they settled. Sambo worked for many years as an Auto Mechanic for Lone Star Ford.

Waiting to meet him on the other side his parents, Rachel Thomas and Myles Green …..son…Jonathan Bates, sisters, Mary Jane Smith, Hattie Odumes, brothers….Allen C. Boyd and Earnette Boyd Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memories; wife of 53 years Hearse Bates Green know as Stella, Sons….David Green Thomas, David Dewayne Green and Derrriest DeShawn Green.

Grandchildren – Deangelo Thomas, Dan'yal Green, Davion Green and Robert Green.
