Darwain Edward Brown Sr. was born into God's world on August 5, 1941, to the loving couple Raymond Brown and Lourine Elizabeth Wedgeworth Brown (both deceased) in Fort Worth, Texas. Darwain was preceded in death by his sister Janice Marie Brown Hudson. Darwain attended the Historic Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church where he faithfully worshipped for several years.

Growing up Darwain attended Our Mother of Mercy Catholic School. As a boy he worked at the neighborhood Dave's convenience store and maintained a paper route before and after school. After completing his education, Darwain enlisted and served in the United States Air Force for four years, he worked at the Fort Worth courthouse, and then for Garden Title Company before becoming a business owner of Brown's Liquor Store. He was the Dallas Cowboys number one fan and he enjoyed socializing.

The Lord blessed Darwain with one son Darwin Brown Jr. (deceased) and four daughters, Pamela Brown, LaCisha Brown, Niesha Brown, and Frances Tippens, all residing in the DFW area.

Also left in the hands of our merciful Lord are his nephew, Travis Dehorney and his grandchildren, Brandon Brown, Jasmine Webb, Robert Malone, and Jalen Woods.
