Darrell Warren was born in Dallas, TX on June 23, 1960 to the parentage of Howell Warren Sr. and Billie Rose Warren.
He accepted Christ as his savior at Cedar Crest CME in Dallas, TX.

He was a graduate of Carter High School class of 1978.

Darrell was known as an outgoing, charismatic person, one who never met any strangers.

He had an affinity for the elderly and children. He was loved by all who knew him; because of his love and devotion for his family, during the latter years of his life, before his illness, he became his father's full time caregiver.

Darrell met the love of his life Cheryl Johnson in 1995. On October 4, 1997 their union became as one.

He was a loving father to his son Jamar Lane and Shaquayla Harris. He doted on his grandchildren Trayson, Michael, and Emmett.

Darrell transitioned to eternal life March 13, 2018. Darrell was preceded in death by his Mother Billie Rose Warren, his son Jamar Lane, his niece Tamara Lamb, and Mother in Law Catherine Cato Johnson.

Darrell is survived his loving and devoted wife of 20 years Cheryl Warren, his dedicated father Howell Warren Sr., the apple of his eye, his daughter Shaquayla (Chris) Harris, his grandchildren Trayson, Michael, and Emmitt, his 2 brothers Howell Jr. and Dennis Warren, his aunts Clarice Bell and Carolyn Franklin, and uncle Kenneth Tarrant, his god-daughter Brianna Brown, his friend and brother Arnold Clifton Brown, and a host of relatives and friends.
