Darnell Edwin Daniels was born on September 9, 1968, to John L. Daniels and Patricia Ann Angle. He was baptized at a very early age at St. John's Baptist Church in Oak Cliff, He attended Robert L Thornton Elementary School and as a youngster, excelled at football until he suffered a serious foot injury. He went on to attend high school at South Oak Cliff and Carter High Schools.

From a child, Darnell was always good with his hands, as he would break down radios, stereos and electronic equipment and put it back together again. This led him to attend college for auto mechanics. Once he completed the college auto mechanics program, he began working as an auto mechanic for different local auto shops. He also worked for himself as a freelance mechanic and earned a reputation as "Boone" the neighborhood mechanic. He continued working freelance for many years until he began to have health problems in 2020. Once he contracted covid, he never quite recovered as passed away on October 24, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory his wife (Dorothy Daniels), daughter (Tyetiana Rugley), sister (Odett Griffis), brothers (Daryl Daniels), (Patrick Daniels) and (John Daniels III), stepmother (Virginia Daniels) and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.

He is proceeded in death by his mother, father, and son (Quncey Williams).
