Dametra LaShun King was born to Alice Juanita King and Leonard Allen on November 19, 1973 in Dallas, Texas. Dametra accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Canaan Baptist Church in Dallas Texas by the late Rev. Armand Simmons. Dametra attended Carter High School and graduated in 1992.

Shun as we lovingly called her worked at Prosperity Bank for 20 years and as you can imagine they became an extended family that loved her. There were many things in life that Shun loved doing but nothing compared to her spending quality time with her sons. She was so knowledgeable about technology and was everyone's go to person. She loved music and she loved her family.

She was a loving, kind person with an unforgettable smile that will remain in our memory always.

Shun was so blessed to have a Daddy like Alvin Dale Houston who from a little girl loved and cared for her all her life. She loved him dearly.

Dametra was proceeded in death by her father Leonard (Chuck) Allen of Dallas, Texas, her grandparents Alice and Jesse King of Quanah, Texas, Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Allen of Dallas, Texas, Grandparents Eugenia Norris and A.D. Houston of Quanah, Texas. Uncles Jessie King, Val Taylor, Clarence Houston Aunt Martha Mergerson.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her sons Domenque and Marcus, mother Alice King, her father Alvin Houston, sister April King, brothers Oman Houston and Stephen Shelton. A multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews along with friends who loved her dearly.
