Obituary


Corine R. Thomas born to the parentage of Rolston Robinson and Minnie Louise (Tiggs) Robinson on December 24, 1929, in Paducah, Texas. Ms. Corine R. Thomas passed away December 15, 2024. She was a cook at Sears and Roebuck for approximately 30 years, in addition to this career path she cooked at Earle Campbell Building, Dallas, Texas for approximately 20 years.  Her love for cooking created a new title for her great ability known as "Ms. Connie Fried Pies and Tea Cakes.  She is still recognized today as the pie and tea cake lady.

Corine married Oscar Doyle Lewis in 1945, and five kids were born to this union.   She married Charles Thomas in September 1972, who preceded her in death.

Corine was preceded in death by: (Sons) Gary Lewis, David Lewis; (Daughter) Christian Lewis; (Granddaughters) Sonja Burroughs, Toshira Pounds, Temetris Choice; (Grandsons) Jeffrey Burroughs, Stanley Jackson III; (Great- Great grandson) Jeffrey Burroughs, Jr.

Corine has been survived by: (Daughters) Flora Lias, Cardelia Lewis, Freddie Lewis, (Sons) Oscar Lewis, James Lewis (Sandi), Arnold Lewis and Alvis Lewis (Aneko).  She leaves to cherish her memories four (4) generations of Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren, who loved her dearly.
