Obituary

Clydell Crawford Sr. affectionately known as                         "Slaw" &" Reverend Crawford", was born November 5, 1937, in
Dixie, Louisiana to Mr Alonzo Crawford Sr. and Mrs Ada D. Crawford. He was the youngest child of fourteen children.
Clydell accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at the tender age of 6. He relocated to California at the age of 16, where he resided with his brother and sister-In -law Joe and Liz Crawford,. Clydell received his education in Shreveport, La and California where he attended Manuel Art High School. At 17 years old, Clydell enlisted into the United States Navy where he served our county for 4 years.
Clydell's elder brother, Andrew Crawford introduced him to Lucinda Richardson-Crawford Sr. who later became his wife, together they were ultimately married 57 years. Of this union they were blessed with 6 children. In California, Mr Crawford  worked for Vision Hire LTD, founded in England where he ascended and eventually held the title of President/CEO. Vision Hire, is known as one of the earliest organizations that embarked and pioneered audiovisual technology. He retired form Vision Hire and quickly rejoined the worked at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he promoted from Unit Clerk to Personal Assistant to the Director of Nursing (ADON) until he retired in 2004. Later that year he and his wife relocated to Fouke, Arkansas where he rejoined the workforce and enjoyed a career at the Marriott Starwood Hotel.
In his thirties, Clydell became an ordained Minister, his time was dedicated to Missionary work for the Homeless and the Less Fortunate. Clydell was excited to spread the message and teaching of Jesus Christ in the communities that he lived and served; as co-founders with his wife Lucinda Crawford Sr. and Elder & Sister Bryant, they would embark on missions,where they would feed ,clothe and minister in the U.S every Saturday as well as traveling periodically to Mexico. With great pleasure, Clydell opened and pastored his own Missionary Church in Los Angeles, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alonzo and Ada Crawford, his loving wife Lucinda Crawford Sr. daughter Bobbie Richardson; grandson Cornelius  A.D Taylor, 7 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his 5 children, 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grand children, 1 sister, 2 brothers a host of bonus step grand-Children, nieces, nephews, brother and sister-In-Laws and friends.
