Clarence Williams was born in Letohatchie, Alabama (Calhoun Community) on December 4, 1943 to Abe and Thelma Williams. His family moved from Alabama first to Biloxi and then to Gulfport, MS where Clarence accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Gulfport public schools where he graduated high school in 1961.
After high school, Clarence entered the Navy and also served in the Army. After a six year career in the armed forces, he was employed by the U.S. Defense Department as an Engineer where he served for 31 years and retired in 1999. On December 23, 1978, he married the love of his life, Dorothy (Dot) Davis Fann in Ventura County, California. They lived in Oxnard, California until they moved to Georgia in 1999.
After 9 years in Georgia, Clarence and Dot moved to Texas in 2008 where they reside until his death. Clarence was a lover of music and has amassed a collection of Motown, Jazz and Blues CD and albums. Clarence was called home to be with the Lord on March 22, 2023. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Dorothy Williams, one son, Kimothy Dobbs (Kim), three stepsons, Dwayne Renee Fann, Casey Fann (Nicolle) and Charles (Meechie) Thomas, brothers James Williams (Rose) and Roy Williams. In addition to six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and host of relatives and friends.
