Christine "Tine" Porter was born Christine Warren to parents Jethro Warren, and Eula Gatson of Farmerville, LA. Christine received her formal education in Farmerville, LA. Christine accepted Christ at County Line Baptist Church at an early age.
Christine married Clarence Archie. To this union two children were born, a son Darryl Archie, and a daughter, Letitia Archie (Conliffe). Christine moved to Dallas, TX around 1971. She began to work for and settle into a city what was to become her home. Christine married her second husband, Charles Porter in November 1975. To this union Christine and Charles had three sons Christopher Archie, Tavaras Porter and Telly Porter.
Christine was a very outgoing and energetic person. She became known to many in the Dallas community. Her smile was as inviting as the light of the morning sun. She was very vibrant and attentive to her children. She encouraged their education and work ethics. On most Sunday afternoons Christine would invite her beloved family and friends to dinner. Her collard greens and neck bones were as famous as Amos for his cookies. Her cooking was usually followed by laughter and enjoyment from her family and friends.
Christine was preceded in death by her beloved son, Darryl Archie (Harvey), her parents Jethro Warren, Sr., Eula Gatson Warren King and James King. Christine leaves to cherish her beloved family: a loving daughter Letitia Conliffe of Sulphur Springs, TX, three sons Christopher Archie(Kesha), Telly Porter(special friend Andrea) and Tavaras Porter (Jamila) all of Dallas, TX. Sisters: Leola Taylor (Charles), Viola Hill, Clemmie Sue Charles, Pearline Warren(Robert), Maelene Alexander(Clyde Ray), Shelia King-Coleman; Brothers: Jethroe Warren, Jr.(Polly), Thomas Warren, Oliver King(Ethel), Terry King and Antonio King. Christine also leaves to cherish 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
