On The Afternoon of May 13th, 2024, Chester Earl Wortham, Loving Husband, Father, Grand Father, And Uncle, Originally from the town of Paris, Texas went to be with the Heavenly Father in the City of Rowlett, Texas. He is survived by his siblings: Diana, Mike (Paula),and Wayne (Janice): Daughters Sonja(Gerald), and Celeste; Grandchildren: Gerald(Chastise), and Christian (Vontazia); Great -Grand Children; Emerie, Christyn,Chiloh,and GeraldII.
Chester was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Mary Helen: his mother and father: Lela and Walter: siblings: Sandra Faye, Don Edward,and Billy Ray.
Chester was known as a light -Hearted, fun loving,and Generous Soul. He enjoyed playing the durms And singing with his band, hitting the dance floor with his wife Mary, and spending time with his precious family. He served in The United States Army during the start of the Vietnam War, was Honorably Discharged after 3 years of service with a good conduct medal and expert rating with an M-14 rifle in June of 1964, returning home to active duty as a devoted Husband, Father, and Provider, and never looked back. He Loved being a supportive PawPaw. Attending all the big games and celebrating the Big moments, Especially when his Grandsons both became Husbands and eventually Fathers to his Wonderful Great- Grand Children.
