Charlie Griffin was born in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Virgie Nell Jones and Clarence Griffin on January 23, 1956. He was the 4th child to this loving union.
He graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School, Dallas, TX in 1974. After graduation Charlie built a proud 30-year career as a commercial driver, known for his reliability, professionalism, and dedication. He retired from Sysco Food Distribution Services after receiving numerous commendations recognizing his commitment to excellence.
Charlie met the love of his life Sandra Ann Glenn while they were at O. W. Holmes Jr High School. Their friendship blossomed into a lifelong partnership, and they were united in marriage in 1976. They remained devoted to one another for 50 beautiful years. Their union was blessed with two children: Lajon and Charla.
At an early age, Charlie confessed his hope in Christ at an early age, he united with Greater Mount Pleasant Church in Dallas, TX. He later joined the Inspiring Body of Christ Church where he enjoyed the Word of God and praising the Lord.
Charlie deeply cherished time with his family, especially his grandsons, JonJon and Marc Anthony. He shared an unbreakable bond with them and took immense pride in the young men they are becoming.
He is preceded in death by his parents and bother Bennie Forte.
