CHARLES EDWARD WATSON was born August 25, 1945, in Crockett, Texas, to Edward and Edith Mae (Gilder) Watson. He was their fifth child. CW was raised in Crockett, Mt. Olive Community, and attended Ralph J. Bunche School.
HE accepted Christ as his Savior and united with Center Hill C.O.G.I.C., under the leadership of Supt. Noble Cooper, Sr., and Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Dallas, under Markus T. Sallie
CHARLES married Beverly Evans in 1999. To this union, an extended family was formed.
CHARLES worked at The Lighthouse For The Blind.
CHARLES passed away Tuesday October 7, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Edith Watson; sister, Jessie Lee Watson-Strong; brother, Sam E. Watson; and grandson, Jeremy J. McMillian.
LOVING survivors include his wife, Beverly Watson; sons, Terrence Watson and Stanley York; stepchildren, Jimmy Palmo, Yvette Lampkin (Morris), Meldraon Evans, Orenthal Evans, and Aretha Evans; sisters, Annie Washington, Ethel Hawkins and Edith Walker; brothers, Melvin Watson and Andrew Watson; and grandchildren, Jackie McMillan, Sha'Wanda Brown (Rudy) Troynisha Evans, Troyquisha McKenzie, Torian Johnson, Onita Gabriel, Meldraon Evans, Jr., and Caliya Brice. Charles CW Watson had a host of great-grandchildren, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He cherished his family, friends and devoted a lifetime of memories.
