Cathy Marie Durham was born June 10, 1964 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Javan Durham Sr.(deceased) and Helen Durham. She was educated in The Wilmer-Hutchins Independent School District. She graduated from Wilmer-Hutchins High School in 1982.

Cathy was full of life, humorous, and had a great love for her family and her closest friends. She had a strong faith in God and knew he was the head of her life. Cathy was a very compassionate person and a deep thinker whose written poetic prose served as a testament to her life experiences.

Cathy was a member of Good Tree Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Donnie Dewberry Sr.

Cathy is survived by her mother, Helen Durham; her son; Weldon Durham; her daughter; Tanginique Durham; 6 brothers, Javan Durham Jr., Jimmy Durham, Maurice Durham, Milton Durham, Kenneth Durham, and Patrick Durham. One sister; Evelyn Durham Goff. 2 grandchildren; Darius Durham and Alondra Carson, and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
