Obituary

Catherine Lovelle (Brown) High was born on February 2, 1948 in Dallas, Texas.

She accepted Christ at an early age where she attended St. John Baptist Church, and later she joined Carver Heights Baptist Church. She graduated from Booker T. Washington where she enjoyed cheerleading and dance. Professionally, she worked at Zep Manufacturing Co until she retired. She also worked for Yellow Cab for many years.

Catherine had lots of style, and she loved shopping for herself and others. She was a fashionista in her own right. In addition to fashion, one of her pastimes was trying out different restaurants and traveling.

Her passion for her family, friends, children and grandchildren was her life.

She was married to John Allen High and they had their children: Lea Stradford and son-in-law Murford Stradford Jr, Alinza Capdeville and son-in-law David Capdeville, and Terry High.

She also had eight grandchildren: Cecil Stradford, Nicholas Stradford and (Arielle Stradford), Zoie Stradford, Lucas Stradford, Tyrell Greene and (Brittany Greene), Jarell Greene, Jerek Capdeville, and Shari High.

She also leaves behind her 10 great-grandchildren: Zion Russell-Stradford, Dakota Russell, Allison and Ezra Stradford. Jakius Greene, Tyrell Greene Jr, Elisha Greene, Jayden Torrence, Lorenzo and Katalina Capdeville.

Catherine's parents preceded her in death, Frances Colbert and Nepolean "Bobbie" Brown, and her grandmothers, Catherine Williams and Ann Lovelle Fields.  The siblings of Catherine are  Robert Earl Brown, Vickie Stark , Joe Colbert, Stephanie and (Carl Hudson).  Eddie and Darnell Brown, preceded her in death. Special cousin Joyce Walker, special aunt Sonja Fields, nephew Courtney Stark, niece Kimberly and (Keith Chambers).

She also leaves behind a host of cousins, nephews and nieces, colleagues, aunts and friends.
