Carlos Steve Watson was born on December 19, 1961 in Dallas, Texas to Claytor and
Eula Watson. At an early age Carlos united with Greater Memorial Baptist Church. He
attended Dallas Public Schools graduating from H. Grady Spruce High School in 1980.
Carlos worked many years for both the City of Dallas and Dallas Independent School
District. Carlos enjoyed a multitude of social activities mostly centered around close
friends and family. He enjoyed watching both football and basketball games, family
get togethers, and being the center of attention, especially in front of the camera. He
loved traveling to his grandparents' farm in Nacogdoches, Texas where he would hunt,
fish and ride horses.
After a lengthy illness, Carlos departed this life on Sunday, October 7, 2018, in the
comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.
Carlos is preceded in death by his father, Claytor Watson; brothers: Craig Watson,
Carl Lee Mooring, Nolan Mooring and Cleo Miles.
Carlos leaves to celebrate his life: his loving mother, Eula Madison Watson; devoted
sisters, Claymenia Watson McCowan (Foster), Theresa Watson Hill; dedicated nieces
and nephew Chelsey McCowan, Camara McCowan and Marion Hill, Jr. and a host of
uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
