Rev. C.B. Martin Sr. was educated in the Port Arthur School District and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967. He continued his studies at Bishop College in Dallas and graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts and Science Degree in Dallas, Texas on May 14, 1999.

Rev. Carl B. Martin, Sr. has now transitioned to his final resting place. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Sylvia Martin: his children Carl B. Martin, Dallas, Texas, Glenn Heights, Texas, Shequala Martin, Dallas, Texas, Andrae Martin, Justin O. Martin, Dallas, Texas, and Christopher L. Martin, New Boston, Texas;14 grandchildren; Brother; Richard Martin ( Catherine) Georgetown, exas, Anthony Martin, Aurora, CO; Sisters: Rosita Maryland, Carson, CA, Barbara Nico (John), Port Arthur, TX. Althea Portley (Lee), Beaumont, TX.
